Viktor Fuček (SVK)
Viktor Fuček (1977, Czechoslovakia) is a graduated architect who continued his studies in the Academy of Fine Arts, Prague in the studios of Miloš Šejn and Tomáš Vaněk. He also attended internships at the Art School of the Australian National University and at Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. In 2014, he was the finalist of the Arte Laguna Prize and the Oskar Čepan Prize for Slovak emerging artists in 2015. He was also among awardees of Artward art competition in 2017. Viktor presented his work in the Slovak and international context in solo and group exhibitions, including Czech Republic, UK, Italy, Australia, France, Germany, and Hong Kong.
Marina Planas (ESP)
Marina is a director, writer, cultural manager and video artist that has lived in Barcelona, New York and Palma de Mallorca. She has studied Visual Communication and an MFA in photography, video and related media. In Barcelona she worked as a photographer and journalist in the culture department for Nova Ciutat Vella. In Palma de Mallorca she was assistant director for the Experimental Arts Festival Ping 04!, 2007. Later she worked as a script writer for tv during three years and as camera assistant with Palma Pictures for a BBC Tv series. In New York she was part of the Visual Collective Film Festival that coordinated different short film festivals for Anthology Film Archive where she showed her cinematographic pieces ¨Ode to Modernity¨ and ¨Soft Reality Dreams¨, in the years 2012 and 2013. In New York she also worked as a photoshop and final cut teacher in the Fine Arts Department at School of Visual Arts and as a photographer for Google Maps. During these last years she has directed different video projections for dance shows at the Egia Theater in Bilbao and at Teatre Principal in Palma. Currently, she is finishing an essay film about the memory of a gulag, located beyond the Arctic Circle. She also works as a cultural manager at her Cultural and Creation Center Casa Planas, an old photography factory where spaces are rented as studios for artists. This year she has shown her art piece “Taxonomia del hotel Balear” in the context of the Venice Biennale and in Es Baluard Museum.
